This hotel has the best lake view. But what really surprised us is the amazing hospitality. You really do feel like a royal staying at this hotel. The staff is very warm and go above and beyond to care for your needs.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days in the month of December. Its located at the banks of the lake pichola. There are other properties too which are on the banks but the view and location from this hotel is sensational. They also have a boat ride in the evening which is chargeable but it's worth it. They take you to the sunset spot in the lake and the view is just phenomenal.
We enjoyed our lakeside breakfast every morning. Staff behaviour is good and courteous. If someone is coming by cab to the hotel, make sure to call the hotel for pickup near ambe mata temple. I loved the stay at this hotel. The interior is nice, food is good-loved the traditional Indian breakfast! The rooftop restaurant "Upre" is well known for the view and the food is mouth-watering. Best Roof-Top Restaurant in Udaipur. Comes with amazing lake view and pleasing live instrumental music. Best to visit in the evening. Stayed at this beautiful hotel for 3 nights. After reading multiple good reviews about this hotel, we decided to book it for our stay in Udaipur. Even after booking it about a month prior to our travel dates, we could not get the lake view rooms as it was all full and so we had to settle with the standard rooms. Considering the location and the hotel, the room rates were pretty reasonable.

Location: The hotel is located right at the center of old town Udaipur. It is situated right at Lake Pichola and is at a walking distance from the City Palace, Bagori ki Haveli and other attractions.
The hotel provides spectacular view of the City Palace and other historical buildings around Lake Pichola. One can enjoy their evenings or even mornings mesmerized by the view of old monuments with its reflection on the lake, from the outside sitting area of the hotel.

Rooms: While check-in we were upgraded to a Lake view room for 1 night as the non-lake view rooms were full. The next day we were shifted to the non-lake view room. The lake view room offers great view of the lake but was a bit small compared to the non-lake view room. The rooms are clean, comfy and has all the amenities. The decor gave us a traditional/royal Rajasthani feel too.

Service: The service was really impressive. All the staff were courteous, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Since, cars are not allowed in this part of Udaipur, the hotel arranged a boat from the car parking area. Also, the guests can avail their shuttle e-rickshaw service.

Breakfast: The breakfast was good and had variety of Indian dishes; however, continental dishes were very limited. Also, the timing of the breakfast was not maintained. We had to wait for some 10 minutes every day for the breakfast buffet to be ready.

Ambience: The hotel lobby, the restaurant and the sitting area are well decorated and lit. It definitely gave us a upscale feel.

Upre: The roof top restaurant Upre is good but needs prior booking. I have written a separate review on it.

I had been to this hotel with my family - my wife and our two daughters + my cute grand daughter (5 months old baby).
I had a marvelous experience while staying here.

The location, the hospitality of hotel staff, the complementary break fast, the well decorated palacial rooms, a 40 minute motor boat trip (paid) at lake Pichola - everything went just as per our wish.

Only one little problem was that we had to leave our car at a place, which is bit far from the hotel. However, hotel management had provided their own vehicle to pick up. Also, while returning, they had arranged for the drop by their 4 wheeler.

The breakfast will remain always memorable because of varieties of choice of food. All fresh & very delicious. A fine live "Santoor" tune added more "mood" at the huge dining hall.

Everything is close to this place, you find autos easily, Jheels’s cafe is walking distance and also The Fort Palace and market place as well as other cafes.
