ISKCON Temple (Krishna Balaram Mandir)

ISKCON temple which is known as Krishna Balaram Mandir also is an important and cultured place at Vrindavan. This temple is also a Major Attraction for devotees and tourists. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna's Elder brother Shri Balaram. This place is famous for International devotees who follow the Hare Krishna Movement. Everywhere in the Temple the chants of Hare Krishna and Hare Rama. This temple is not just a place of worship but its a place for people who want to learn about cultural education activities. This temple looks more attractive during the festival season, especially at Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's Birthday).

Keshi Ghat

Keshi Ghat is located on the serene banks of the Yamuna River at Vrindavan. This is the most famous ghat in the region. Keshi Ghat is not only for worship but also shows the divine atmosphere of Vrindavan. Keshi Gaht's name is given by a demon Keshi which by sent by King Kansa to kill lord Krishna. According to Hindu mythology in this place, Lord Krishna as a young boy was fighting with Keshi and after killed the Keshi he was hands and feet in this spot of Yamuna river. Keshi Ghat is famous for carved steps that go inside the Yamuna River. Keshi Ghat is covered with traditional mansions and temples which shows the rich culture of Vrindavan. Keshi Ghat is close to the Madan Mohan temple (which is dedicated to Lord Krishna).

Radha Raman Temple

Radha Raman Temple is one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, especially in his Radha Raman form, Radha Raman means one who gives pleasure to Radha, and it's a cultural landmark. The Temple architecture shows traditional North India Style, sanctum sanctorum where god lives this temple is very peaceful and shows the alive temple. At the complex of temples, there is a famous Tulsi Garden where devotees offer prayers and show a form of devotion.

Kachri with Sabzi

It is a spicy flavored snack, Kachori is a deep-fried patty with filled lentils and spices. Kachri served with a spicy potato curry.

Lassi

Lassi is a thick and creamy yogurt-based drink filled with cardamom and saffron.

Pedha

Pedha is a local sweet made by Mawa (solidified milk) its have flavored with cardamom and saffron. It also served as a prasad at the temple. 

Govinda Restaurant

Govinda Restaurant is located at the backside of ISCKON Temple. This restaurant has a different variety of vegetarian items. This restaurant has also a take-away, dining, and buffet facility.

MVT Restaurant

MVT Restaurant has a great variety of Vegetarian items. The interior of MTV Restaurant is styled with a backdrop of a beautiful garden. This restaurant is closed for the summer months between May and July.

Vrindavan City Restaurant

Vrindavan City Restaurant is located at Chungi Chauraha near the Nagar Nigam office. This restaurant has a beautiful dining facility where you find different kinds of food like North Indian and South Indian food.

Train

The nearest railway station to Vrindavan is Mathura railway station. From Mathura railway station you can get the bus, private cab, taxis, Tuk-tuk, etc. From Mathura railway station to Vrindavan, the distance is approximately 17km.

Flight

The nearest airport to Vrindavan is Kheria Airport which is located in Agra. After that, you must take cabs or taxis to reach Vrindavan. From Kheria Airport to Vrindavan, the distance is approximately 55km.

Road

There are many ways to reach by road. You can drive by your car or private cab from your city. The different option is the bus. From your city take a bus to Mathura after that there are so many buses which go to Vrindavan.  

Vrindavan is India's spiritual and holy city. As per Granths Lord Krishna spent some time of his childhood in Vrindavan. This place is also known as the City of Temples or God's place. Vrindavan is also famous for the pilgrims, devotees, and spiritual learners around the world. Vrindavan is also renowned for the Holi & Janmashtami Festival. 

Holi:- At Vrindavan, Holi was a very famous festival. It's celebrated with lots of enjoyment at Vrindavan. At Holi, this place is filled with colors. At Vrindavan, people celebrate Holi a week ago every day there are so many kinds of Holi, like Lathmar Holi, Colour Holi, Dance Holi, etc. 

Janmashtami:- Janmashtami is known for Lord Krishna's birth anniversary. Janmashtami is very major festival at Vrindavan. At that time temples are decorated in a very beautiful way. On those days so many devotees are fasting and spending all with devotees singing and dancing. At midnight, celebrate the divine birth of Lord Krishna.
