Calangute Beach is known as the “Queen of Beaches”. Dudhsagar Falls
Dudhsagar Falls in English means Sea of Milk. It is located in Goa. The Dudhsagar Falls falls from Mandovi River to western ghat Panjim where it meats with the Arabian Sea. This area is surrounded by the forest. This fall looks very beautiful at the time of monsoon when the water cascades with full force. Dudhsagar Falls is the tallest fall in India. Dudhsagar Falls is very drowned with the local legend which tells his mysterious history. According to the story once a princess daily comes here for a bath after bathing she sits near the lake and drinks one jug of Milk. After someone price went from there and saw her, the prince was very attracted to the princess's beauty. After seeing the prince the princess was embarrassed by his eyes watching her, then the princess put the milk jug in front of her like a curtain to hide her modesty. The curtain of the milk is the point of origin of the waterfall. That's why its name is Dudhsagar. ‘Sea of Milk’
Aguada Fort
The Aguada Fort is a very old fort in Goa it was made in the Year 1612 for guarding from the Dutch. It was a reference point for ships that came from Europe. This fort is located south of Candolim at the shore of Mandovi River. At starting the fort worked for defense of shipping. Inside the fort, there is a Fresh Water spring that provides water to those who stop at this point. That is why this fort's name is Aguada which means in the Portuguese language Waterly. In the Year 1612, this fort grandstand for his 79 cannons. Aguada Fort was the most prized and crucial fort of the Portuguese. During the time of the Salazar Administration, the Aquada Fort is used as a Prison for Salazar political opponents. Aquada Central Jail is a Part of the fort and was the largest prison in Goa.
