Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh

Triveni Ghat is one of the most revered and picturesque ghats situated on the banks of the sacred Ganga River in Rishikesh. Known for its spiritual significance and tranquil ambiance, it is a confluence (or Triveni) of three sacred rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Pilgrims from all over India visit Triveni Ghat to take a holy dip, believed to cleanse one of sins and purify the soul.

The ghat comes alive every evening during the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing spiritual ritual involving chants, ringing bells, and oil-lit lamps floated on the river. Watching hundreds of devotees participate in this soulful ceremony, with the golden glow of lamps reflecting off the flowing river, is truly a magical experience. Alongside, the ghat is lined with small shrines, shops selling puja items, and sadhus offering blessings.

Lakshman Jhula, Rishikesh

Lakshman Jhula is a famous iron suspension bridge spanning the Ganga River, located about 5 km upstream from Rishikesh. Steeped in mythology, it is believed to be the site where Lord Lakshman, brother of Lord Rama, crossed the river on a jute rope. Today, the 450-foot-long bridge serves as a vital pedestrian link and a major tourist attraction, offering stunning views of the river and surrounding hills.

The area around Lakshman Jhula is vibrant with ashrams, cafes, and shops, attracting spiritual seekers, yoga enthusiasts, and backpackers alike. From the bridge, one can see temples like the iconic Tera Manzil Temple and watch boats and devotees move along the Ganga below.

While the country’s diversity is stunning, some areas may reflect economic contrasts. Understanding Rishikesh’s dynamic blend of tradition and progress will enhance your journey, allowing you to fully embrace its beauty.

India’s cuisine is a delight for food lovers, offering everything from aromatic street food to elaborate royal feasts. The country’s spiritual essence is evident in its temples, historic sites, and sacred rivers, inviting travelers to experience a deeper sense of connection and discovery.

To make the most of your 3-Day Rishikesh Rafting Trip with Camping tour in Rishikesh, it’s helpful to stay informed about local customs, be open to new experiences, and embrace the lively pace of everyday life. Whether you are exploring ancient forts, enjoying a boat ride on the Ganges, or simply sharing a smile with a local vendor, Rishikesh’s charm will stay with you long after your journey ends. We are excited to introduce you to the people, history, and cultural richness of this incredible destination!

Passports & Visas

Before you embark on your journey, please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Depending on your destination, a visa may also be required. To avoid any last-minute issues, we recommend checking the latest visa requirements at Staybook Travel Visa Information.

If you are not a U.S. citizen, it’s important to check with your country’s consulate or a visa agency to confirm entry requirements. Some itineraries may require a double-entry visa, so be sure to verify if you’ll be re-entering the same country during your trip.
