We took lake view room for our stay and it was one of the best decisions. Large room with beautiful private balcony to lake pichola was sooo great.
You can just sit in the balcony and relax if you dont want to go out for a day.

This place was well below average and completely different than how it looked on their website. Management was rude and did not know how to behave. There were loud noises at night till 1 am which did not allow us to sleep in peace. Curtains and work table chair in the room were full of dust. Washroom was smelly. Flush was not working properly in washroom.

This hotel is located at the best spot on lake pichola. Our room had the most beautiful lake side view and most of the tourist spots were easily spotted outside our room balcony. the view from the lobby is spectacular and it was totally worth the price.
It was amazing view from the Upre the rooftop restaurant. They have private boat ride as well from the hotel.
One of their Manager Yogendra Naruka, helped me in the booking and it was so smooth and welcoming journey. We got some special requirement, he took care of each and every query and request.

Visited Udaipur for the first time , stayed in the most fanciest of hotels near the lake ! Then decided to stay in the city centre and found this super chic hotel - The artist House ! The moment i saw the property i was just blown away by the aesthetics of the place ! It such a beautiful place , has a bar / club on the ground floor ! The staff was courteous had ample knowledge about the what and where of city . I personally feel its an underrated place / hidden gem in the city . I was offered a decent price , the room size is pretty decent with spik n clean washroom’s . Also would like to mention About Mr Geet GM of the property, a very dynamic and charming personality , met him at the bar of the hotel . Wonderful guy and great hospitality . If you visit Udaipur and Do not want to spend bomb on the luxurious hotel’s i recommend try this boutique hotel this place has a very different vibe for chilling. Udaipur is like Hogwarts, any road can become a one-way at any point in time. Our taxi was stopped midway by police saying it is one way due to tourist traffic. So we took a rickshaw to the hotel. The building is beautiful, the view from the lobby is spectacular, rooms wide and cozy. We did not take lake facing rooms as they are small. Lounging facing the lake is one of the highlights. They have a nice aviary, a very friendly dog and a token aquarium. We petted the dog to our 💓 content.
Breakfast spread is impressive.
"Upre" rooftop restaurant needs a reservation, has a killer view but the food was not to our liking. Staff is welcoming.
Approach road like all old city roads is quite narrow.
Definitely recommended for a stay. One warning though- the safe resets if there is a power cut. The stuff which you thought was kept safe is not that safe. 😊 Rooms:5 Service:5 Location:5

We stayed in this property for 3 nights and 2 days. I would rate the overall experience in this hotel to be below average.
Pros:
• Near to the "Bapu Bazaar" which is one the prime market area of Udaipur
• Walkable distance from "Surajpol", Vintage Car Museum etc.
• If you love walking and love exploring new place on foot, then Lake Pichola is also at a walkable distance.
• The lounge/club downstairs plays good music.
• In the room, lights and fan were operational. Geyser was operational. Although the wash basin tap seemed like it would come off the wall anytime.
• Breakfast was not an elaborate spread, but still a decent one.
Cons:
• No elevator.
• Rooms were average, like any 2.5 -3 star hotel. Overall feel of the room was just average.
• The biggest turn off - Bathroom was smelly. Smell was quite evident as soon as we opened the door of bathroom. There was no relief from the smell during the whole stay. After much request, an aroma diffuser was arranged, and we had to keep requesting them again and again for the refill.
• TV system was not working, Every time, we turned on the TV and it asked for recharge. Hotel would say they have recharged it, and after being operational for 15 minutes, it would again ask for recharge.
• Room service was average.
• Staff in the morning hours at the reception desk was not polite and they were not ready to hear you out.
• Music from club downstairs can be heard even in the room. If you're holidaying with friends, you may love it, but if you are travelling with family and kids, this may seem to be an issue to you. Personally, we did not mind the music.
• The only time we ordered something in lounge was not that great, so did not have the courage to try food again. The only respite was the pool side view from the room's window and the arrangement of pool side seating during breakfast time. However it was not worth considering the amount you’re paying for the room, and the issues that you’re facing during the stay. Rooms:2 Service:2 Location:4

I had an amazing time staying here for 2 night glamping! The property is beautiful and sits in nature with the lake and birds and great view. Was very sceptical after the booking due to the tour guide telling me that it's a very old property. But when we reached there we were astonished by the beauty of the same. Yes rooms were a little old. But we were upgraded to a Swiss tent adjacent to the pond full of ducks and beautiful scenery.
Mr. Arun was excellent and helped us out of the way.
All the staff were courteous and helpful.

It's a perfectly located hotel if you want to explore the sights of Udaipur. It's in heart of old city, right on banks of the lake pichola. Access is through narrow lanes so getting to and from the hotel is via small auto rickshaws which are available easily.
