What’s not allowed

Pets are prohibited from joining this experience due to venue restrictions; however, guide dogs are welcome. Outside food and beverages aren't permitted inside the zoo—plan accordingly! For safety reasons, items like straws, balloons, skateboards, skates, bicycles, scooters, radios, glass containers, fireworks, balls, and frisbees must be left outside as well. Feeding animals is prohibited throughout Zoo Miami except in designated areas such as specific feeding stations.

Accessibility

Zoo Miami ensures accessibility for wheelchair users and pram/stroller owners. Wheelchairs and Electronic Convenience Vehicles are available for rent to enhance your visit. It's advisable to reserve strollers, manual wheelchairs, or motorized ones ahead of time, particularly on weekends and holidays.

Additional information

If you have food vouchers, remember they must be redeemed at the designated station one hour before closing on the day of your visit. Daytime admission does not include access to Zoo Lights. Exploring the zoo typically takes 4-5 hours; if walking isn't preferred, safari cycle rentals are available for an extra charge. Oversized bags and luggage can enter but will be searched upon arrival. You're welcome to bring food and enjoy it in a picnic area near the entrance. Given that exploring involves considerable walking, wearing comfortable clothing is recommended.
