Step inside WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and begin your journey in the Butterfly Tropics, where vibrant butterflies flutter freely in a lush, rainforest-like enclosure. As you continue, you’ll enter the Devil’s Den, home to the elusive Tasmanian devils. Nearby, in the Wallaby Cliffs, rock wallabies hop across rocky terrain, while wombats lounge in burrows. Soon, you’ll reach the Kangaroo Walkabout, where kangaroos relax in an open habitat—you can stroll through the space and get remarkably close for photos. From there, you'll head into the Daintree Rainforest, where you might spot the striking Southern Cassowary, as well as pademelons and tropical birds hiding among dense greenery.

Midway through the zoo, you’ll find the Koala Rooftop, a highlight for many visitors. Though holding isn’t allowed, you can enter the enclosure, stand just inches from the koalas, and capture the perfect moment using your Digi Photo Pass. After snapping your shots, make your way to the Platypus Pools, one of the few places in the world to see this shy, aquatic mammal up close. Finally, you'll reach the dramatic Crocodile Billabong, where massive freshwater crocodiles glide through the water or sun themselves on rocks. Along the way, keepers often provide talks and feedings, and your Digi Photo Pass lets you preserve eight of these incredible moments to relive long after your visit ends.

New for the school holidays:

Be sure to visit the nocturnal display to meet Crash and Hazel, the zoo’s first-ever bandicoots, making their debut this season. These adorable marsupials are a must-see addition to your visit.
