Meet your guide at the meeting point mentioned on your ticket voucher. After a brief introduction, your group heads out on foot through central London. Along the way, your guide shares clear, engaging context about the landmarks ahead and why they still matter today.

What to expect

This experience combines exterior views of Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, along with interior access to Westminster Abbey using your included entry ticket.

• Westminster Abbey: Explore the Abbey’s interior at your own pace with a multilingual audio guide. This 1,000 year old Gothic church has hosted every British coronation since 1066 and serves as the burial site of figures such as Isaac Newton and Charles Dickens.

• Coronation Chair & Poets’ Corner: Inside the Abbey, see the 700 year old Coronation Chair, used in every crowning since 1308, and visit Poets’ Corner, where Britain’s literary greats are honoured and remembered.

• Big Ben & Houses of Parliament: Enjoy close views of London’s famous clock tower and the neighbouring Palace of Westminster, the centre of British political life.

• Buckingham Palace: View the monarch’s official residence from the outside, including the well known central Balcony used for major royal appearances.

Ticket options vary and may include the following upgrades:

• Skip-the-line or priority group entry: Enter Westminster Abbey through a dedicated access lane, depending on the variant selected.

• Guided tour of Westminster Abbey: Choose an option that includes a guided Abbey tour led by a licensed guide in English, French, Spanish, or German.

• Changing of the Guard or Horse Guards Ceremony: On select days, certain variants include viewing of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace or the Horse Guards ceremony.

• Headsets for groups: For groups of 10 or more, selected options provide headsets so you can hear your guide clearly throughout the walking tour.

• Have your entry tickets and ID ready for a seamless experience.

What’s not allowed

• Alcohol, sharp metallic tools or objects, food & beverages, drones, large bags, suitcases, backpacks, rucksacks, illegal drugs, weapons, and items that make a noise, like whistles, banners, flags, and political slogans, are not allowed on this experience.

• Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

• Flash photography is strictly prohibited at the venue.

• This experience is generally not wheelchair and pram/strollers accessible.

• Safety is a priority, so guests under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

• While there is no strictly enforced dress code, please note that Westminster Abbey is a place of worship, and it is better to be dressed modestly

• The Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace only takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; on other days, the tour visits the Horse Guards Parade instead.

• Arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before start; late arrivals or no-shows are non-refundable.

• Tours operate in one language per group; options may be offered in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish.

• The English, Spanish, German and/or French-guided tour uses a priority group entrance for Abbey entry.

• For the Westminster Abbey & Changing of the Guard experience, Abbey visits for organ recital, evensong, or mass are self-guided and subject to the Abbey’s schedule; the guide does not accompany you inside.

• An Abbey audio guide may be available on some tours.

• Changing of the Guard is subject to the British Army’s schedule and may change without notice; typically seen on 10:00 a.m. tours Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun.

• Premium small-group options are capped at about 20 participants.
