It is essential for visitors to secure their IDP before traveling since obtaining one inside Japan isn’t an option. Participants must ensure they possess all valid documents; failure in doing so will result in denial of entry without the possibility of a refund.Additional Requirements:
For travelers from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan, and Estonia: bring your driving license (without temporary or paper versions), an official Japanese translation issued by JAF, and your passport. US Military Personnel may drive using either a SOFA License (USFJ Form 4EJ) or a combination of Active Military ID and State-Side Driver’s License.It's important to note that visitors from China, Brazil, and Indonesia are unable to participate in driving activities in Japan due to their non-participation in the 1949 Geneva Convention.
