Gondwanaland
Begin a journey through Gondwanald's lush jungles of Africa, Asia, and South America. Over 170 exotic animal species and more than 500 plant varieties await in this vast area—larger than two soccer fields! Traverse winding jungle paths, the treetop trail, or explore along the mysterious jungle river to uncover its tropical diversity.
Pongoland
In Pongoland—the world's only great ape facility—you can observe chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas, and orangutans. This area is also a research site for The Leipzig Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. Engage with various discovery stations to become an explorer yourself!
Adventure in the Savannah
Giraffes, ostriches, zebras, and more live harmoniously here as they do in their natural habitat. Enjoy excellent vantage points from which you can observe these savannah dwellers. - Normally open from 9am to 5pm daily
Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year's Eve (December 31): Hours are reduced, operating from 9am - 3pm.
