• The essence of Cantonese opera, paired with fragrant tea and delicious snacks, is an exquisite experience not to be missed when visiting the Xiqu Center • The acclaimed "Cantonese Opera, Music and Tea Rhythm" is artistically planned and directed by Cantonese opera star Law Kar-ying. He personally leads the Teahouse Rising Star Troupe to present the audience with a 90-minute wonderful program - a selection of excerpts, Cantonese opera singing and Cantonese music performances, supplemented by lively guidance. • In addition to enjoying the performances, the audience can also enjoy tea and snacks in the theater, which is designed to resemble a traditional Chinese teahouse. In addition to continuing to perform Law Kar-ying's first play, this season also includes the popular Tang Tik-sang's masterpiece "The Princess of the Imperial Court" from "Encounter in the Temple" and "The Sword and the Hairpin" from "The Purple Hairpin", as well as the new play "A Romance in the War" about the heroic female general Fan Lihua. • Language: Performance and guide in Cantonese, with Chinese and English subtitles
"This 90-minute introductory performance of opera includes classic Cantonese opera, opera excerpts and musical performances, with in-depth and easy-to-understand guided tours. You are welcome to come at any time and enter the world of opera, even if you have extensive knowledge of culture or art." -- Producer Chung Chun-chun
