The Taoyuan Children's Art Museum, located in Qingpu, will open in 2024. It was jointly planned by Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto, who won the Pritzker Architecture Prize, and Taiwanese architect Zhaoyong Shi. The design concept is "amusement-oriented exhibition hall, landscape-oriented building". The triangular shape is the main structure. The white base is matched with large areas of glass to introduce natural light, integrate the outdoor natural scenery into the children's art museum, and create a distinctive hill art museum with waterscape, greenery and artistic landscape.
The Taoyuan Children's Art Museum takes children's diversified art education as an important guideline for its development. Through planning and displaying art projects, developing aesthetic play equipment, creative art tutorials and co-creation workshops, it promotes the development of arts and culture and aesthetic education, cultivates children's creativity, imagination and action, explores and discovers themselves in art, and inspires children to have a broad vision of the world, universalism and the future.
