Important Information
You need to have original hardcopies of all three documents:
- A driving license from your country (no temporary or paper licenses allowed).
- An International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the Geneva Convention 1949, obtained in your home country by an official authority.
Your passport.
Key points about IDPs:
- IDPs should be from a recognized organization in your home country (e.g., AAA for US residents or CAA for Canadians).
- The Vienna Convention 1968 version of the IDP is not valid in Japan.
- Ensure that your IDP is in booklet form, as digital or paper formats won't be accepted.
- If you can’t present a hard copy of your IDP on activity day, participation will be denied and no refund issued.
- You must obtain the IDP before traveling to Japan; it cannot be acquired there.
It’s essential for customers to verify their documents are valid. Without them, you’ll not participate without a chance of getting your money back.
If you’re visiting from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan, or Estonia:
- You need the driving license issued in your home country (no temporary licenses).
- An official Japanese translation of your driver’s license by JAF.
Your passport.
For US Military Personnel:
You may use a SOFA License (USFJ Form 4EJ) or combine an Active Military ID with a State-Side Driver's License to drive.
Please note, visitors from China, Brazil, and Indonesia are unable to drive in Japan as these countries aren’t part of the Geneva Convention of 1949.
What’s Not Allowed
- This experience is only open to guests aged 18 or older.
- Pregnant individuals and those with back or neck issues are advised against participating for safety reasons.
Safety rules prohibit flip-flops, sandals, and high heels from being worn during the activity.
