Built in 1881, Parc Sama is the manifestation of ‘Indiano’, a gardening and architectural craze that swept across Spain in the 19th century. The garden has numerous romantic buildings designed by the famed artist, Antoni Gaudi, You can stroll down narrow paths, and get to see some of the animals at the personal zoo of the Sama family.

The park is filled with some striking architecture, with the old palace presenting a striking image against the lush green plant life. There are several bridges, mounds, and manmade grottos present throughout the park as well. You can feed deer within a massive enclosure near the palace. The Pavilion of the Parrots (Pavello dels Lloros) is full of chattering parrots that fill the air with song. From here, the geometrically shaped Torre de I’Angle can be seen as well. You can rest by the lake and waterfall, and watch ducks paddle and turtles swimming in the water.
