You'll need a valid photo ID that matches your booking name if requested at entry. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as the tour includes moderate walks through palace grounds and gardens. Also, dress suitably for the weather since parts of it will be outdoors.

What’s not allowed

  • Large bags, suitcases, or oversized luggage cannot enter the museum or palace areas.
  • Baby strollers, umbrellas, and scooters are prohibited during the tour.
  • Pets aren't permitted unless they're registered service animals.
  • Food and drinks inside the museum and palace areas are not allowed.
  • Luggage storage for bags, extra clothing or personal items isn’t available.

Accessibility

  • This activity may not be suitable for individuals with disabilities due to narrow, crowded corridors that can be loud and challenging for those with mobility issues.

Additional information

Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before your scheduled start time; latecomers won't be admitted or refunded. Tours are conducted in a single language chosen during booking, with headsets provided when group sizes reach 18 participants (up to a maximum of 25). Note that renovations will take place at the Sisi Museum in 2025, potentially restricting access to certain rooms and exhibitions.

Free entry includes Hofburg courtyards, Heldenplatz, and Burggarten. Since gardens aren't green or lit during winter, booking for spring, summer, or autumn is recommended, especially for a morning tour. In case of bad weather like snow, an alternative route will be provided to ensure guest safety.

From November 8 to December 31, the garden visit might be replaced with a local Christmas Market stop. Children aged 0–6 join free of charge; those between 6 and 18 receive reduced prices where applicable. Hotel pickup or drop-off isn't included in your booking. Gratuities, personal expenses, and activities outside the main tour are not covered.
