Getting started
Arrive at the Silfra Meeting Point in Þingvellir National Park, where your guide will greet you and check your documentation. If you have opted for transfer from select locations in Reykjavik, then wait at your selected pick-up point. After a safety briefing and equipment fitting, you’ll join a small group and prepare to enter the water.

Certified divers must present proof of PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) and dry suit diving certification, or proof of at least 10 logged dry suit dives within the last two years.

Participants aged 60 or older require a doctor’s approval on the Diving Medical form.

Minimum age to participate is 17 years.

Participants must be between 150cm and 200cm in height and fit within the dry suit size chart.

Clothing to be worn under the dry suit and undergarments are not provided; please bring your own warm base layers.

Arrive at the Silfra Meeting Point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time for check-in and briefing.

Food and drinks (other than hot chocolate and cookies after the tour), parking fees, and transportation are not included.

The experience operates in cold water (2–4°C/35–39°F) year-round; please dress accordingly.
