- An official Japanese translation of your driver's license issued by JAF is required.
- Your passport must be presented as well.
- US Military Personnel:
- You may drive using a SOFA License (USFJ Form 4EJ).
- Alternatively, you can use an Active Military ID combined with your State-Side Driver’s License.
- Note: Visitors from China, Brazil, and Indonesia are unable to drive in Japan as these countries do not participate in the 1949 Geneva Convention.
Prohibited Items & Conditions
