• Ocean Tunnel: An 80‑metre walkthrough with Grey Nurse Sharks, giant stingrays, and reef fish cruising overhead.

• Seal Island: Home to playful resident seals, with daily presentations revealing how they’re cared for.

• Tidal Touchpool: A shallow, hands‑on pool where visitors can gently feel sea stars, sea cucumbers, and other marine life.

• Coral Kingdom: A colourful reef environment teeming with clownfish, seahorses, living corals, and anemones.

• Jellyfish Kingdom: Dedicated displays showing jellyfish gently drifting under special lighting that highlights their natural patterns.

• Freshwater Streams: Tanks that reveal fish and turtles native to Queensland’s creeks and rivers.

Know before you go

What to bring

• Wear comfortable shoes and weather‑appropriate clothes; most of SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is indoors, but you’ll walk between zones.

• Bring your booking confirmation, either digital or printed.

• If you’re visiting with someone who needs a carer, bring your National Companion Card to receive free entry for carers.

Seal Swim

• Please bring your own towel, as it’s required for the experience.

• Remove all jewellery before the swim; if jewellery can’t be removed, participation isn’t allowed.

Shark Dive Xtreme

• Pack swimwear to wear under the provided wetsuit.

• Avoid drinking alcohol the night before your dive.

• Be prepared to carry up to 40 kg of scuba gear.

• Bring medical clearance from a qualified dive doctor if you currently have or have had conditions like asthma, heart disease, epilepsy, diabetes, chest or ear problems, high blood pressure, neurobiological disorders, or recent injuries or surgeries.

What’s not allowed

Shark Dive Xtreme

• Guests are not allowed to participate if they are pregnant.

• Guests cannot participate without medical clearance if they have or have had asthma, heart disease, epilepsy, neurobiological disorders, diabetes, chest conditions (including pneumothorax), sinus conditions, ear problems or surgery, high blood pressure, recent injuries, surgeries, or psychological conditions.

• Drinking alcohol the night before your dive is not permitted.

• Guests must not fly in an aircraft within 12 hours after completing the dive.

• Guests must be at least 14 years old to join; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult also participating in the dive.

Seal Swim

• Guests are not allowed to participate if they are pregnant.

• Participation is not permitted if you have any type of seafood allergy.

• Guests must remove all jewellery before the swim; wearing jewellery during the experience is not allowed.

• Participation is not permitted if you cannot swim.

• This experience is available for guests aged 13 years and older.

Behind-the-scenes tour

• This tour is open to guests aged 3 years and older.

Accessibility

Aquarium

• SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is fully wheelchair accessible.

• Carers accompanying guests with disabilities can enter for free with a valid National Companion Card.

• Assistance animals are welcome inside the aquarium if accompanied by certification.

Behind‑the‑Scenes Tour

• This tour is wheelchair accessible, except for the viewing area at the top of the Oceanarium, which is not accessible.

Seal Swim & Shark Dive Xtreme

• These experiences are not wheelchair accessible.

• Guests must be able to enter and exit the pool or Ocean Tunnel, with help from staff or a carer if needed, and must be confident swimmers.

• Guests must be able to communicate verbally with staff for training and safety instructions.

Additional information

• Some exhibits or zones may occasionally close for animal care or maintenance without prior notice. SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast does its best to keep as many exhibits open as possible.

Seal Swim

• Spaces are limited each day, so it is best to book early to secure your spot.

• Your ticket includes one souvenir photo, and extra photos can be purchased separately.

Behind‑the‑Scenes Tour

• Children must be accompanied by a participating adult during the tour.

• Each tour has a maximum of 8 guests, and guests should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time.

Shark Dive Xtreme

• A reasonable level of swimming ability is required.

• The experience includes a detailed briefing and training session before entering the water.

• Each time slot accommodates up to 4 divers, so advance booking is highly recommended.
