Begin your visit at the main entrance of SEA LIFE Hannover, where after a quick check-in, you’re free to explore all areas at your own pace, with staff available for assistance and information.

What to expect

SEA LIFE Hannover is a barrier-free aquarium featuring more than 40 tanks and aquariums, home to a diverse range of marine life from local rivers to tropical seas. The experience includes daily feeding shows and lectures, offering educational insights for all ages.

Features:

• Glass tunnel: Walk through a transparent 360° glass tunnel and come face-to-face with blacktip reef sharks, rays, and the resident green sea turtle, Oscar.

• Themed zones: Journey from the Leine River habitat to the mangrove area, Clownfish Cave, Turtle Temple, and the ocean tunnel, each highlighting unique aquatic species.

• Rainforest greenhouse: Step into a tropical environment, meet a genuine jungle ranger, and encounter the impressive Cuban crocodile alongside various insects and tropical animals.

• Insect experience: Get up close to tiny insects and learn about their role in aquatic and rainforest ecosystems.

• Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.

• Unaccompanied minors are not allowed; children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility

• The aquarium is suitable for wheelchair users, with elevators and accessible restrooms available.

• Some areas may be difficult to access with large wheelchairs or walking frames.

• The observation tower in the rainforest area is not accessible for wheelchair users.

• Visitors with a 'B' in their handicap ID may bring an accompanying person free of charge (booking a ticket is required for the visitor).
