Practical Information

The Royal Collections Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10am until 8pm and on Sundays and holidays from 10am to 7pm. The last entry happens 45 minutes before closing time.

Note: Free access for EU and Ibero-American citizens with valid ID is available at the Royal Palace of Madrid from Monday through Thursday, but only during specific hours: October–March, 4pm to 6pm; April–September, 6pm to 8pm.

Note: The time you choose for your visit is specifically for the Royal Palace. Your ticket for the Royal Collections Gallery remains valid for up to seven days following this, but it can't be used during the free entry periods (Monday–Thursday from 6pm to 8pm).

Free admission applies to children under five years old, ICOM/ICOMOS members, official tour guides, teachers, unemployed individuals with proof of status, and people with disabilities who are at least 33% impaired. They may also bring one essential companion if indicated on their certificate.

Accessibility Information

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their visit. The meeting point and venue can be reached via public transport, including buses (Lines 3, 25, 39, and 148), subway lines 5 and 2 at Ópera station, or Cercanías trains arriving at Príncipe Pío Station.

Your time slot is for the Royal Palace visit only. The ticket for the Royal Collections Gallery remains valid for up to seven days after your palace tour but cannot be used during free entry hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 6pm to 8pm. On-site amenities include information services, audioguide rentals, lockers, cloakrooms, restrooms, a nursing room, rest areas, and folding chairs. Your access includes both permanent and temporary exhibitions. A café and shop are also available for convenience during your visit.
