- Dress Code: To enter St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museums, dress modestly—no sleeveless tops, miniskirts, shorts, or hats. Cover your knees and shoulders if you're a man or woman.
- Large backpacks or luggage are prohibited in the Colosseum.
In Vatican Museums: No suitcases, backpacks, containers, umbrellas, walking sticks (except for disabled visitors), camera tripods, video cameras, or any signage allowed.
Additional information
- Please arrive at the Colosseum meeting point by 12:55pm if your Vatican tour begins at 8am. For a start time of 9am, be there by 1:40pm.
- If any areas inside the Museums close unexpectedly, slight itinerary changes may occur.
- St Peter’s Basilica visits are self-guided; your guide won't accompany you as direct access from Vatican Museum isn’t possible.
- Note that St. Peter's Basilica might be closed for religious events without prior notice. In such cases, a visit to the Vatican Library will replace it.
- Expect potential delays due to heightened security measures when entering venues. Pacemaker users must present a certificate to bypass screenings.
- Cloakroom facilities are available at Vatican Museums.
During Jubilee Year, some areas of the Vatican Museums might be closed for religious ceremonies, and St. Peter’s Basilica may also close without notice. These situations can't be controlled; thank you for understanding.
