What to bring

• Pick out comfortable walking shoes, as Karlovy Vary features long pedestrian routes that include uphill sections and uneven terrain near several viewing points.
• Consider carrying a light jacket or warm layer due to cooler temperatures in the spa town and around the Diana Tower area compared to Prague.
• A compact umbrella or raincoat is advisable since sudden showers can occur throughout the year.
• If you plan on using an audio guide, bring your own headphones for a better listening experience.

What’s not allowed

• Large suitcases and oversized bags are prohibited as they cannot be accommodated in the tour vehicle; only small personal items are permitted.
• Smoking is banned inside enclosed areas such as the funicular station, tower, and colonnades.
• Drones are not allowed in central Karlovy Vary due to safety policies and restrictions around historic structures and natural protected zones.

Accessibility

• The tour is not wheelchair accessible because the route involves uphill walking, staircases, and uneven ground that may be difficult for wheelchairs or similar aids.

Additional information

• Departures are scheduled at 8:45am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday; arriving 10 to 15 minutes early is recommended for a smooth check-in process.
• If you've chosen the audio guide option, download an app before or upon arrival at the meeting point—staff will assist with setup if needed.
• Live commentary may be offered in multiple languages depending on group composition.
• Note that from September 8 to September 26, 2025, access via funicular to Diana Tower is unavailable; an alternative walking route might be necessary during this period.
• The Diana Funicular and Watchtower are closed annually from January 6 to February 7, making entry impossible on these dates.
