Palazzo Pitti and Palatine Gallery

This convenient ticket lets you skip the lines and gain direct entry to the Palace and Gallery, thus saving you many hours of standing in lines at the two of the most popular tourist destinations of Florence. The early history of the Palazzo Pitti is a strange mixture of fact and myth. Pitti is alleged to have instructed that the windows be larger than the entrance of the Palazzo Medici, for instance. The architect of the building went against the conventional fashion of the day while designing the Palace, which gives the palace a severe and forbidding atmosphere. However, this style of architecture has gone on to have a great influence on buildings made later in the 16th and 19th centuries. You can admire these influences as you stroll through the many opulent rooms of the Palace which hide countless secrets.

After you tour the lavish State Apartments of the Medicis, you can visit the Palatine Gallery, located in the Palace, where you can see the many riches and treasures acquired by the Medicis over the years, with gorgeous artworks and historical artifacts on display all through the gallery, only opened to the public in the late 18th century.

Boboli Gardens

The Boboli Gardens is a 111-acre park that has been modeled in the Renaissance Style, home to a wide variety of plants, as well as a vast collection of sculptures dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries.

With these tickets, you gain skip-the-line access to the Boboli Gardens. Stroll on the geometrical paths through the luxuriant greens, and see the many different expressions of Renaissance ideals in and around the park in the form of formally ordered and beautifully adorned architecture, natural beauty, and ancient structures. You can admire the magnificent sculptures and artworks strewn all over the park, such as the 34-century-old Obelisk from Egypt, Stoldo Lorenzi’s Neptune’s Fountain, the Fountain of the Ocean by Giambologna, and Giorgio Vasari's Large Grotto. The grottoes at the garden are of particular note, as they are a prime example of outdoor sculpture, and represent different and defining aspects of Mannerist architecture.

You also gain access to the Bardini gardens (only recently opened to the public) and the Museum of Porcelain with these tickets.

Pitti Palace & Palatine Gallery, Boboli & Bardini Gardens Skip-the-Line Tickets

Discover the grandeur of Florence on this comprehensive sightseeing tour that includes skip-the-line access to three major landmarks: Palazzo Pitti, Palatine Gallery, and Boboli Gardens. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours, providing audio guides in English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, and Dutch. You will explore the vast grounds of Boboli Gardens, covering over 112 acres, as well as the extensive galleries within Palazzo Pitti, which spans nearly 380,000 square feet. The tour also includes access to the Bardini Gardens, a lesser-known but equally stunning park with panoramic views of Florence’s skyline. With this one ticket, you can experience four distinct yet interconnected sites that showcase the artistic and historical legacy of Florence.

Explore Palazzo Pitti

Your tour stops at Palazzo Pitti where guests can see the grandeur of Florentine rulers through its opulent Royal Apartments. Built in 1458, the palace was originally purchased by Luca Pitti but later became a residence for the Medici family and their successors. The complex houses numerous museums including the Palatine Gallery, which features over 500 works of art from the Renaissance period to the early 20th century. Additionally, visitors can explore the Porcelain Museum, home to an impressive collection dating back to the 16th century. Guests typically spend around two hours within the palace, marveling at its architectural splendor and historical significance.

Admire Palatine Gallery

At Palatine Gallery, guests can explore one of Florence’s most renowned art collections, featuring works by Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, and Caravaggio. Established in 1749 during the reign of Grand Duke Ferdinand III, this gallery is part of the vast complex within Palazzo Pitti. Spanning over 50 rooms with a total area of approximately 23,000 square feet, the gallery houses some of Italy’s most significant Renaissance masterpieces. Visitors often spend about an hour here, appreciating not only the artworks but also the stunning Baroque architecture that frames them.

Stroll Through Boboli Gardens

Your tour continues to Boboli Gardens where you can stroll through one of Europe's largest and most beautiful Renaissance gardens. Covering over 112 acres, these gardens were designed in the mid-16th century by Niccolò Tribolo for the Medici family. Highlights include the Neptune Fountain, a regal statue of Poseidon standing at approximately 6 meters tall, and the Grotta Grande, an elaborate cave system adorned with sculptures and frescoes. Visitors can also see the Obelisk from Ramses II, which stands at around 7.5 meters high and was brought to Florence in the early 19th century. Guests typically spend about two hours exploring Boboli’s intricate pathways and scenic vistas.

Discover Bardini Gardens

Your tour concludes with a visit to the enchanting Bardini Gardens, a less crowded but equally captivating park offering panoramic views of Florence. These gardens span approximately 15 acres and were created in the late 19th century by Lorenzo Nelli for Ferdinand de Medici’s former residence. The Bardini Gardens feature lush greenery, romantic walkways, and stunning vistas that make it an ideal spot for photography and relaxation. Visitors typically spend about one hour here, enjoying its tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking views.
