The Tower climb involves 273 steep steps and lacks elevators, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users and those with cardiovascular conditions. Children under the age of 8 are prohibited from climbing, while children aged 8–18 must be accompanied by an adult.Additional Information
Timed entry to the Tower is strictly enforced; please arrive at least 15 minutes before your reserved slot as late arrivals cannot be accommodated. If your chosen time slot is unavailable due to high demand, a new slot will be assigned within one hour of your original choice. Note that your visit duration on top of the Tower is limited to 30 minutes.Accessing the Cathedral is free but requires a timed pass if visited independently; however, this pass is automatically included with any Pisa Complex ticket, such as those for Tower entry. Remember to wear modest clothing covering knees and shoulders during your visit, which includes entry to both the Cathedral and the Baptistery.
