As evening sets in, make your way to Phillip Island Nature Park for the world-famous Penguin Parade. From the general viewing platform, you’ll witness hundreds of little penguins emerging from the ocean and waddling across the beach to their burrows. Follow their journey along the boardwalks and spend time at the visitor centre, where interactive exhibits offer deeper insight into the life of these fascinating creatures.

• It's recommended to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking.

What's not allowed

• Strictly no photography or video (with or without flash) is permitted after sunset during the Penguin Parade to protect the penguins.

• All Phillip Island Nature Parks attractions are cashless—only contactless payments are accepted.

• Smoking, pets, animals, and drones are not allowed on this experience.

Additional information

• Visitors can bring assistance animals certified by a registered authority and must remain on designated paths and restrained by a harness or lead.

• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

• For the Penguin Parade, penguins arrive at sunset each evening, with typical arrival times ranging from 8:30 to 9pm in summer (Dec–Feb), 7 to 8pm in autumn (Mar–May), 5:15 to 6pm in winter (Jun–Aug), and 6:30 to 8pm in spring (Sep–Nov).

• All revenue supports conservation, research, and wildlife rescue at Phillip Island.

• Your selected booking date will be for the Penguin Parade General Viewing, while entry to the Koala Conservation Reserve and Churchill Island comes with a 6-month validity. You can also use these tickets on the same day during operating hours.
