- Without a hard copy of your IDP during the activity, participation will be denied with no refund available.
- An IDP must be obtained before arriving in Japan as they cannot be acquired there.
The responsibility to ensure valid documentation lies with you; otherwise, entry is refused without reimbursement.

- A driving license from your country (no temporary or paper versions).
- An official Japanese translation of your license by JAF (Japan Automobile Federation).

US Military Personnel may drive using either:
- A SOFA License (USFJ Form 4EJ), or
An Active Military ID combined with a State-Side Driver’s License.
Citizens from China, Brazil, and Indonesia are unable to drive in Japan as their countries do not participate in the 1949 Geneva Convention.
