Getting started

Begin your journey with a hotel pickup from Dubai (based on selected transfer option). Keep your passport ready for border control—Omani visa formalities are arranged for you in advance. After a 2-hour scenic drive past the Hajar Mountains and coastal views, you’ll arrive at Dibba harbor, where your dhow cruise begins.

What to expect

Step aboard a double-deck wooden dhow, styled in traditional Omani design, and sail into the calm waters of Musandam.

• Khor Sham: Cruise through this iconic fjord, known for its steep limestone cliffs and quiet coves.

• Snorkeling & swimming: Stop in sheltered bays where you can snorkel, swim, or float with life jackets—all equipment is provided.

• Banana boat ride & fishing: Try a short banana boat ride or join a handline fishing session from the dhow.

• Lunch & relaxation: Enjoy a buffet lunch served onboard with soft drinks and fresh fruit. Relax on deck as the boat drifts past coastal villages and rocky inlets.

• Dolphin spotting: Keep an eye out for playful dolphins often seen swimming alongside the dhow.

What to Bring

• Carry your original passport (valid for at least six months) and, if you're a UAE resident, your Emirates ID with at least three months’ validity.

• Since the tour includes water activities, make sure to bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

• Sunglasses, a hat, and any personal medication are also recommended, and you’re welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you prefer it over the basic setup provided onboard.

What’s Not Allowed

• Large luggage and bulky bags aren’t permitted on the dhow due to safety and space limitations.

• Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed inside transfer vehicles.

• Drones or aerial devices are restricted at both the border and onboard.

• Alcoholic beverages are generally not included or permitted unless explicitly stated.

• Hazardous or sharp items beyond personal use should be left behind.

Accessibility

• This experience is not wheelchair accessible, as the boarding area and dhow layout involve steps, uneven surfaces, and low seating. Guests must be able to board the boat unassisted and move around safely.

• Water-based activities may not be suitable for travelers with limited mobility, back issues, or those who are uncomfortable in open water.

Additional Information

• Border-entry permission is mandatory for all guests, with processing typically taking three working days for UAE residents and around 24 hours for tourists.

• If you're arriving without transfers, plan to reach the harbor at least 30 minutes before departure. Shared transfer timings can vary due to traffic.

• All water activities are dependent on weather and sea conditions.

• Tour timings may shift accordingly, and a 100% no-show fee applies with no refunds for partially used services.

• A mandatory 31 AED border fee must be paid directly at the Oman border.
