Getting started

Meet your group at the designated pickup point in Pompeii, where your driver will greet you. After a short transfer, your tickets are validated at the park entrance, and you’ll be introduced to your English-speaking volcanological guide before beginning the ascent.

• It’s recommended to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes with good soles.

Accessibility

• This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

• Due to the steep gradient and the characteristics of the trail, climbing to the crater is not recommended for individuals with complex health conditions, including respiratory or cardiovascular issues.

• The hike is suitable for everyone (hiking difficulty: E or easy) and requires no special trekking preparation.

• Children are allowed on the hike with adult supervision.

• All Mount Vesuvius tickets include a volcanological guide to the crater.

• In case of bad weather or force majeure, the climb may be suspended by the volcanological guides.
