You're welcome to have your own food onboard. Dining options are available at Gympie Station, including snacks and meals. Remember to get water from the Rusty Rails Cafe before leaving, especially if it's hot outside.
What's not allowed
You can't bring alcoholic drinks purchased elsewhere onto the train. You have the option to buy them at the station on your travel day.
Accessibility
- The VIP Booth experience cannot be accessed by wheelchair users, but both Classic and Silver Bullet High Tea experiences are accessible for wheelchairs. If you need ramp access, please mention it when booking.
- This journey isn't suitable for strollers or prams.
- Both Gympie and Amamoor stations can be accessed by wheelchair.
You might encounter coal dust at the stations or on board. If you have a lung condition that could worsen due to this, please exercise caution.
Additional information
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during travel.
- Free rides are offered for children under 2 who don't need their own seat. To book a reserved seat, purchase at the child fare rate.

The Sunday Service returns to Gympie Station at 1:30 PM, later than Wednesday or Saturday services by 30 minutes. It includes a stop at Dagun Station with outdoor games and optional wine and cheese tasting available on-site for purchase.
