Fishing village experience
Get a ride from your hotel and kick off your trip by visiting the village of Marsaxlokk, biggest fishing spot in Malta and has been that way for a very long time. You'll have a guide who can speak English, German, French, Spanish, or Italian, and they'll be with you as you check out the colorful traditional fishing boats called "luzzu" and the larger fishing ships in the harbor. Stroll through the renowned Sunday market along the waterfront, where you can find delicious restaurants and cozy cafes. The market offers a wide variety of items, including fish, local honey, jams, sweets, local beverages, souvenirs, clothing, shoes, traditional crafts, jewelry, and much more.
Explore hidden gems of Malta
Your next stop is the Żurrieq Valley, where you’ll explore the breathtaking Blue Grotto, a group of 7 caves along the southern coast of the island. What makes the Blue Grotto special is that from sunrise until about 1pm, the cave's location allows sunlight to create various shades of brilliant blue in the water. You can experience this magical sight with a 20-minute boat ride for an additional fee.
End the tour by visiting Qrendi, a quaint and untouched Maltese village, where your guide will help you explore this peaceful place. Even though it's small and has only around 2,700 residents, it's filled with attractions, such as the main square to the heart of the village with its parish church and band club.
