Important Information
- Arrive at the ticket office 15 minutes before departure to check-in. Late arrivals will be considered no-shows, resulting in non-refundable and non-transferable bookings.
- Children aged 14 years or younger must have an adult with them throughout the Skyrail journey.
- Gondolas seat up to six people (including infants) or a maximum of 480kg (1058 lbs), whichever comes first. Non-shared gondola use is based on availability.
- Timings may vary due to operational constraints and could be longer than recommended.
- You're welcome to spend as much time as you like at the mid-stations, enjoying facilities and rainforest views.
- No smoking or eating/drinking in gondolas; permitted only at terminals and stations. Day packs and fold-up strollers are allowed on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway while luggage is not. Small coin-operated lockers are available at the Smithfield (Cairns) Terminal, subject to availability.
- The Cairns terminal is 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes south of Port Douglas.
- A one-way trip takes about 1.5 hours, including time spent at Red Peak Station and Barron Falls Station.
- Round-trip experiences are allotted a duration of approximately 2.5 hours.
The first departure from Smithfield is at 8:30 AM; the last one-way or round trip departs by 1:00 PM.
Timings
Cableway trips are available every 15 minutes, between 8:45 AM and 3:45 PM.
Discounted Tickets
Infants under three travel for free. Children aged four to fourteen years old and families (two adults plus two children) benefit from reduced ticket prices with valid photo IDs required.
