Morning drums: Originally, they were used as a signal to call the stablemasters to come for consultations. Nowadays, they are beaten every day from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. during the tournament to inform the spectators that the tournament is starting and to encourage them to come. They are also known as "morning drums."
Public practice: From the lower ranked wrestlers, the higher ranked wrestlers will start practicing as time goes on. You can witness the exciting practice with your own eyes.

Yumitorishiki: The Yumitorishiki is a ceremony in which a wrestler who knows the etiquette takes the bow on behalf of the winner of the final bout in a sumo tournament and performs a winner's dance on the dohyo. It is held after all the matches have finished and before the start of the match.
