If you are an aspiring ichthyologist or marine biologist or just simply curious about the world below ours, this tour is designed especially for you. Take out a few hours from your schedule to visit the Key West Aquarium and learn more about the various varieties of aquatic creatures as well as the multiple steps involved in the protection, rehabilitation, and treatment of sea turtles. Associated with the Turtle Hospital and Florida Sea Turtle Stranding Network, the Aquarium takes a proactive part in helping and nursing injured sea turtles back to health and even provides a permanent home to the turtles who need one owing to their injuries.
The tour also provides facts and information about the various aquatic creatures housed in the aquarium. In addition to the same, there is a separate section within the Key West Aquarium dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of sea turtles, a Touch Tank to experience aquatic life as close as possible, as well as shark and turtle feedings.
