- The majority of Shinkansen and Limited Express trains accommodate wheelchairs. Reservations can be made at JR ticket offices (Midori-no-madoguchi). However, if accessible seats are fully booked, boarding the desired train may not be possible.
Specific size and feature requirements apply to wheelchairs for use on these trains. While power wheelchairs with steering wheels typically aren't allowed, exceptions can sometimes be made.

- The JR Pass is exclusively available to holders of non-Japanese passports who have a "Temporary Visitor" visa stamp.
- Purchase your JR Pass before arriving in Japan. It's advisable to book at least 2 weeks prior, allowing sufficient time for the Exchange Order delivery.
- Cancellation options are open until one day before your booking date if you decide not to proceed with it.
Refunds will be processed with a deduction of 10% from the original purchase price.
