Seamless activation

  • After you make the purchase, you’ll can redeem your card at any Tourist Information Office open between 8:30am to 7:40pm.

  • Flying in? Redeem it at the airport metro station to catch the metro to the city. It’s super convenient!

  • Just swipe your card to avail Barcelona's public transportation. The card gets activated the first time you use it.

  • Validity: Before activation, your pass is valid for 90 days after purchase. Your pass is activated as soon as you use it for the first time and is valid for the number of 24-hour periods chosen. For example, if you select a 48-hour pass and take any public transport at 3pm on a Monday afternoon, your pass is valid till Wednesday 3pm.

  • Children under the age of 4 years can travel for free.

Redemption details

  • You will receive a QR-code mobile voucher, which must be exchanged for a physical Hola Barcelona Travel Card.

  • Your card can only be picked up from official Tourist Information Offices.

  • Airport T1 & T2 desks are open 8:30am–7:30pm. Please ensure your arrival time allows enough time to redeem.

  • If you arrive after the counters close, simply redeem your voucher at any city Tourist Information Office the next day.

  • Your travel card activates the first time you use it on Barcelona public transport.

  • Before first use, the voucher remains valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.
