See Some of Ortigia’s Most Significant Monuments

The boat ride facilitates views of some of the best historical and cultural sites located along the coast of Ortygia. These include the stone Umberto I Bridge, the only surviving part of the Spanish bastion that once defended the island, a former Bourbon prison, and the 13th-century Maniace Castle.

Visit the Sea Caves

Spend some time exploring the sea caves that adorn the northern side of the island. The boat will enter the cave in a way that lets you see coral formations, stalactites, and stalagmites up close.

If weather permits, the boat will stop for a short time where the water is bluer. Take the opportunity to wade around in the beautiful Sicilian sea before returning to the land.
