Getting started

The full-day cruise departs from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and travels across the Coral Sea to Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef. After a comfortable transfer, you’ll arrive at the island and have approximately 5 hours to explore at your own pace.

What to expect

• Cruising to Green Island: Relax on the scenic journey to the reef while marine crew deliver a snorkelling demonstration and informative reef presentation, helping you understand the marine life and coral ecosystems before you arrive.

• Island exploration: Spend up to 5 hours on Green Island enjoying white sandy beaches and rainforest walking trails. Follow a self-guided island walk through the national park or unwind by the shoreline between snorkelling sessions.

• Snorkelling & reef time: Snorkelling gear is included — mask, snorkel, fins, Lycra suits, and a flotation vest — so you can explore the fringing reef directly from the beach and discover colourful coral and tropical fish.

• Buffet lunch: Refuel with a buffet lunch offering a variety of dishes, including vegan, halal, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, making it suitable for different dietary needs.
