See the Burj Al Arab lit after dark — the sail-shaped hotel sits on its own island and changes colour throughout the night on a programmed sequence.
Your guide times the route so you arrive at the Dubai Fountain viewing area before a scheduled show — no guessing, no waiting on the wrong side.
The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain: 275 metres wide, shooting water 150 metres high, with 6,600 lights and 50 colour projectors.

Dubai after the sun goes down
Pick-up from your hotel happens after sunset — the exact time depends on season, but your guide confirms at booking. The city changes materially at night: the Sheikh Zayed Road towers shift to their lit facades, the mosques are illuminated in white and gold, and the contrast between the old creek district and the new waterfront becomes its own kind of spectacle. Your guide narrates the engineering and architectural stories behind what you're seeing as the route moves south toward the coast.
The Burj and the Fountain
The Burj Al Arab stop gives you a clear photo position from the public causeway entrance — the building reads completely differently at night, lit against the black Gulf behind it. Your guide explains the structural engineering: the building stands on 250 concrete piles driven into an artificial island, and its 321-metre height was specifically calculated to make it the tallest hotel in the world at the time of completion in 1999. The finale is the Fountain: your guide positions the group at the ground-level viewing terrace on the Burj Khalifa Lake 60 minutes before a scheduled show. When it fires — 22,000 gallons of water, choreographed to music, visible from 27 kilometres away — there's nothing quite like being level with it rather than watching from above.
