What to bring

• Warm clothing: The temperature at the rink averages around -5 degrees Celsius. It is highly recommended to wear long trousers, sweaters, or jackets.

• Socks: Thick socks are essential for comfort and to prevent blisters inside the skates. While socks are often provided with your ticket, bringing your own pair of warm, thick socks is a good idea.

• Gloves: To protect your hands from the cold and potential falls, bring a pair of cozy gloves. If you forget them, they are usually available for purchase at the venue.

• Valid ID: Keep a physical or digital copy of a valid photo ID (Emirates ID or Passport) handy for age and identity verification if required.

What's not allowed

• Trailing clothing: For safety reasons, long dresses, skirts, national dress (Abayas/Kanduras), or any loose, trailing clothing that could get caught or cause a trip are strictly prohibited on the ice.

• Electronics on ice: Mobile phones, personal stereos, and cameras (including selfie sticks) are not allowed while skating to prevent distractions and accidents.

• Food and beverages: Consumption of food, drinks, or chewing gum is strictly prohibited on the ice.

• Large bags: Carrying backpacks or large handbags on the ice is not permitted as they can affect your balance. Lockers are available for rent to store these items.

• Intoxication: Guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be denied entry for safety reasons.

Accessibility

• The Dubai Ice Rink is located within the Dubai Mall, which is fully wheelchair accessible. Spectator areas are accessible for those in wheelchairs.

• Professional marshals are available on-site to assist guests. However, it is recommended that guests with specific physical disabilities contact the venue in advance to ensure the best possible experience.

• For beginners or children who need extra stability, skating aids (such as penguins, seals, or snowmen) are available for hire on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional information

• Children must be at least 100cm tall to skate. Children between 100cm and 120cm must be accompanied by a skating adult at all times.

• Each standard ticket typically grants you a 90-minute skating session.

• Small lockers are available for a nominal fee (approx. AED 15) to store your personal belongings like shoes and bags while you are on the ice.

• This experience is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with heart, neck, back, or joint problems.

• If you don't wish to skate, you can purchase a spectator ticket to watch the action from the viewing area.

• It is best to arrive 15–30 minutes before your scheduled session to allow time for skate fitting and gear preparation.
