The following days offer free admission: European Heritage Days on the third weekend of September and every first Sunday in November, January, February, and March. Entry is complimentary for anyone under 18 years old as well as EU nationals or non-EU residents aged between 18 and 25 years (ID required). Disabled visitors accompanied by an adult, jobseekers with a certificate less than six months old, and holders of a valid education pass also gain free entry.

An audio guide is available in Spanish, Chinese, English, French, German, and Italian. The booklet can be found in Spanish, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Germany, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, and Russian languages.

  • No luggage is allowed inside the monument.

Starting September 8th, a security perimeter will encircle Île de la Cité from Monday to Friday. Entry is only permitted via Place Lépine (flower market square), where an initial police check occurs; visitors must present their Conciergerie Tickets for entry. Those visiting Sainte-Chapelle and/or the Conciergerie have a dedicated line, while access through usual addresses remains open after another security check before entering.

On weekends, public holidays, Christmas holidays, and some Mondays without audiences, monuments can be accessed via their standard address.
