Getting started

Your experience begins at Çemberlitaş Hamamı, a beautifully preserved Ottoman bathhouse in the heart of Istanbul. After presenting your booking confirmation at reception, staff will guide you to the changing area where you’ll receive towels and prepare for your traditional hammam ritual.

Warm, marble room

Once ready, you’ll enter the impressive domed marble bath chamber, a hallmark of classical Ottoman hammam architecture. Relax on the heated marble platform as the warmth gently opens your pores and prepares your body for the cleansing ritual.

Traditional cleansing ritual

An experienced attendant performs the kese exfoliation, a traditional scrubbing technique that removes dead skin and stimulates circulation. This is followed by a rich foam wash and massage, creating a refreshing and invigorating hammam experience.

Refresh & relax

After the cleansing ritual, you’ll rinse off and take time to unwind as your body cools down. With fresh towels and basic amenities provided, you can relax and fully enjoy the calming atmosphere of this historic bathhouse before continuing your day in Istanbul.
