Get away from the hustle with a day trip to the Blue Mountains with access to Scenic World, hidden lookout points, guided rainforest walk, and lunch.

Ride the world’s steepest passenger railway and enjoy gorgeous views of the green Narrow Neck plateau from the less-crowded Elysian Rock.

Enjoy a yummy Australian lunch at a pub, followed by spending some time feeding kangaroos and clicking a cute pic with a fluffy koala at Sydney Zoo.

Hop on a serene ferry ride back to Sydney with a view of the glossy white roofs of the Sydney Opera House and the arched Sydney Harbor Bridge.

Fun fact: The Blue Mountains get their name from the blue haze that develops when oily droplets from evaporated eucalyptus leaves mix with dust particles and water vapor in the surrounding air.

Quiet time in Australian landscapes

What better way to hit the reset button than going on a day trip to the Blue Mountains? Put on some comfortable shoes and step into a comfortable AC car that will take you to this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kickstart your day with a steaming cuppa at the township of Glenbrook. Climb to one of the lesser-crowded lookout points, Elysian Rock, and sit on a wooden bench as you watch the clouds surround Mount Solitary. Hop on a cable car or gondola and climb at a steep angle while watching the sandstone pillar-like Three Sisters and the eucalyptus-filled Jamison Valley go by.

Food, some more nature, & furry friends

Embark on a guided walk through an ancient rainforest while learning about the unique flora and fauna that thrive there. Watch the cascading down the segmented Katoomba Falls before going to Cahill’s Lookout to glimpse Megalong Valley with a small group. Stop for some delicious Australian grub at a pub before heading to Sydney Zoo to meet dingos, wombats, and red pandas. Don’t forget to get that free photo with a cute koala to remember this wonderful adventure. Take a return ferry back to Sydney while catching a gorgeous view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge as the sun colors the sky red and orange.
