The Cableway and Skyway welcome strollers. However, for safety reasons, they are not permitted on the Scenic Railway. Access with strollers is limited on longer routes of the Scenic Walkway due to steep gradients and stairs.

  • Elderly individuals with cardiovascular issues, vertigo, fear of heights, or pregnant women should avoid this activity.
  • We recommend bringing comfortable shoes and clothing, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, as well as bottled water. In the cooler months (June-August), warmer clothes are also necessary.
  • Scenic World operates in all weather conditions, with rides continuing even if it rains. The Railway, Skyway, and Cableway cabins offer enclosed shelter. Rain ponchos and umbrellas can be purchased onsite.
  • Covered parking is available for free to guests arriving by private vehicle.

Important: Visit the ticket office at 283 Bathurst Road, Katoomba before boarding the bus. This location allows you to redeem your combo tickets for both the bus and Scenic World entry. You'll receive a guidebook and an entry code needed for rides here. The office is open daily from 8:30am to 3pm.
