This pass is exclusively for non-Japanese passport holders who have a 'Temporary Visitor' visa stamp, obtainable at immigration. Accompanying an adult or child rail pass holder with up to two infants (ages 1-5) incurs no extra cost; however, you'll need a child pass starting from the third infant onwards. Reserved seating is available for Shinkansen (Mihara - Hakata) and express trains in six different options.To exchange reserved seat tickets, collect your printed ticket at green vending machines located near area passes before boarding the train.

Restrictions

The experience does not extend to individuals with Japanese passports or non-Japanese passport holders holding permanent residence status in Japan.
