Important Information
- The JR Pass is valid only for non-Japanese passport holders who have a Temporary Visitor Visa and reside permanently outside Japan for at least 6 months.
- You must carry your passport while using the rail pass and present it to JR staff if requested.
- Non-Japanese residents in Japan are not eligible to use the JR Pass.
- A fixed date needs to be specified when redeeming a voucher for physical tickets.
The start date of your rail pass and its duration cannot be altered once purchased.
If you've used up all six reservations on your JR Kansai Wide Area Pass, reserved seat tickets can still be bought at the JR Green window using personal funds.
- Express tickets are not needed for Rapid Services and local train reservations on JR-West Conventional Lines.
- Rail passes will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
- Individuals over 12 years old are considered Adults, while those aged 6-11 are classified as Children.
An Adult or Child with a rail pass can bring up to two infants (aged 1-5) without charge.
